Here Are All The Cameos And Easter Eggs Hidden In Tatsunoko’s Endings Against Capcom
We have a little something different from Desk as his latest video sheds light on the various cameos and Easter egg appearances in the ending scenes of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.
The 2008 crossover fighting game was developed by Eighting and published by Capcom, and features characters from Capcom’s video game franchises and various anime series produced by, as you might have guessed, Tatsunoko Production.
Complete the arcade ladder with the various characters and you will be rewarded with story conclusions represented by a series of still images. Complete the game as Mega Man’s sister Roll, for example, and you’ll see a pair of towering, dark characters in one of his scenes.
The first of these two is Vector, an emotionless robot assassin prototype from Capcom’s first in-house polygonal fighting game: Star Gladiator. The second is Phobos, better known as Huitzil in the West, a robot who served as a sub-boss in the first Darkstalkers game.
Another ending has a single panel that includes characters from Mega Man X, Mega Man X5, Captain Commando, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, Lost Planet, and Red Earth.
Capcom and/or Tatsunoko fans will surely enjoy it. It would be easy enough to have played TvC multiple times and not pick up on most of the less visible references, so we are grateful to Desk for doing the work and pointing them all out to us.
