Learn more about Black Krrsantan here.
The Pyke Syndicate appears here after numerous animated appearances in The clone wars and their live action debut in Solo: A Star Wars Story. A big gang, they traffic in spices, fuel and people. The gang leader in this episode appears to be a new character, but is wearing a smaller version of their iconic snake-inspired helmets.
Order of the Night Wind
The assassins who pursued Boba and Fennec turn out to be the Order of the Night Wind, a new (or at least newly named) group. They bear a fleeting resemblance to the Kage Warriors, a group Boba Fett met in The clone wars (also in an episode with a train), but there doesn’t seem to be a connection.
The Hutt twins, Nal Hutta and Hutt Space
– The Hutt twins are new characters, who would be Jabba’s cousins.
– They delayed their trip to Tatooine because they enjoyed the “debauchery” of Nal Hutta, the Hutt homeworld. This planet has appeared in many related media including in The clone wars, which showed that the governing body was a “Great Hutt Council”. George Lucas created the original design of the planet, a swampy place. Later, The High Republic series said that the swampy state is not natural, but the result of an invasion of the sapient plant creatures known as the Drengir.
– The Hutts created their own empire on the edge of the Republic, known as Espace Hutt. It remained independent under the Republics as well as under the Empire, although it faced attempts to take control from within and without.
