It’s not the egg-stravagance it normally is in the Middle Keys, but Easter celebrations are slated for 2021:

Sombrero Beach Sunrise Service
Local churches are joining forces to hold an Easter “Sonrise” service at Sombrero Beach in Marathon on Sunday April 4 at 7 a.m. Church of God, Church of Christ, United Methodist Community, Kirk of the Keys and St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal will attend. Usually, the leaders of each church participate in the sermon. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn blanket or chair, to distance themselves socially, and to wear a mask.

Easter Egg Hunt at First Baptist
The First Baptist Church of Marathon is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 3 starting at 11 a.m. The hunt is aimed at children aged 2 to 12 and the Easter Bunny will be present for photos at the Church on 62nd Street.

The aquarium organizes an egg hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt at the Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters is free and for a fee for children 12 and under. The eggs will be filled with candy, food tokens (for fish), and prizes for free aquarium packages. The hunt is on Saturday April 3 from 9 a.m.

Bunny raises funds for Christmas
Join the Easter Bunny at Havana Jacks on Sunday April 4 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Key Colony Beach Egg Hunt will help raise funds for Presents in Paradise, which brings Christmas to underprivileged children of the Florida Keys. This event takes place outdoors and participants are requested to keep a distance from each other.
