The Easter Bunny will be touring Hattiesburg this weekend. Anyone looking for family Easter fun on Saturdays can find it at one of the Easter egg hunts held in town.

On Saturday, the Lions Club will host its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at Vernon Dahmer Park, in partnership with Hattiesburg Parks & Recreation and Omega Psi Phi.

The egg hunt will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The event is free and designed for children aged 3 to 12. There will be a separate area for children under 2 years old.

The Hattiesburg Zoo will be hosting an Easter egg hunt from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The event is free with entry to the zoo. Tickets are $ 8 and $ 4 for children. Children under 2 enter for free.

The hunt is for adults and children who like a good challenge, the Hattiesburg Zoo said. The zoo said the eggs will be hidden in the guest areas and all golden eggs will include prizes inside.

In addition to the egg hunt, there will be Golden Goose games, bunny crafts, Splash Pad access, and photos with the Easter Bunny.

The Easter Bunny will be available from 11 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. There will be no professional photographer, but guests can take photos with their own phone or camera.

Carousel Rides, Bunny Trail Train Rides, Snow Bunny Treats at Snow Cone Caboose and Peep Punch will also be available for purchase during the event.

Guests are asked to wear masks and social distancing if they are not in close proximity to members of their household.
