Based on the comic book hero of the same name, moon knight is the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Oscar Isaac (from the next Solid metal gear movie) stars as Marc Spector, who takes on the hero aka “Moon Knight” after he dies in front of the statue of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Khonshu resuscitates him, imposing on him the burden of becoming the “knight of the moon”, protector of the innocent. moon knight marks the character’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel fans are excited to see how the MCU tackles Moon Knight, who is one of Marvel’s most obscure heroes, as well as how the series will tackle the dissocative identity disorder (DID) of the character. Whether viewers are watching the superhero sequences or the mysteries surrounding the protagonist, the show should have a lot to offer. Moon Knight Crew and Cast

Kevin Feige is directing the production of moon knight as executive producer alongside Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Grant Curtis, Brad Winderbaum, Jeremy Slater, Isaac and Mohamed Diab. Diab is particularly notable because moon knight has strong Egyptian roots and Diab is an Egyptian director. Many of his previous works focus on Egyptian societal issues, so Diab can be expected to bring a level of authenticity and representation needed for a series such as this. He directs four of the six moon knight episodes, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing the other two.

As previously reported, Oscar Isaac stars as main protagonist Moon Knight/Marc Spector. Ethan Hawke plays Arthur Harrow, the series antagonist who is a cult leader and zealous follower of the god Ammit. May Calamawy stars as Layla El-Faouly; not much is known about her character so far, as she is not featured in the moon knight comic books. It’s clear from the trailer that she’s someone from Marc’s past, but nothing more has been revealed.

The Story of the Moon Knight

moon knightofficial synopsis of wonder states,”moon knight follows mild-mannered gift shop clerk Steven Grant, who is plagued by power outages and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge on them, they must navigate their complex identities while being immersed in a deadly mystery among the mighty gods of Egypt.”

As the series has not yet been released, we can only speculate on moon knightthe story through the trailer. It opens with Steven, who says he has a sleep disorder and cannot distinguish between reality and dreams. He hallucinates and at one point sees the moon god Khonshu. The trailer takes a turn when Steven finds an old flip phone, answers it, and a woman on the other end calls him “Marc.” Steven responds, “Why did you call me Marc?” What follows are action-packed scenes of Marc as Moon Knight, Steven/Marc suffering from the torture of his own mind, cult leader Arthur Harrow, and more, pointing to an exciting season ahead.
